We wanted to develop a program especially
for our junior members. In 2005, the Junior Scholastic
Trap Program was started for junior members age 8 to 18.
This program teaches firearm safety, responsibility,
discipline, and sportsmanship. Young people are the
very future of the shooting sports. By fostering an
interest in shooting among our children, we help to sustain
our sporting traditions for future generations. By
teaching young people, both boys and girls, the fun of
shooting, we provide them with a sport they can enjoy their
whole life.
We are very proud that, because of this program, one of our
shooters has already received a college scholarship.
We have certified coaches who are dedicated to this program
and the development of young shooters. With
approximately 40 shooters in the program, we have a budget
in excess of $10,000 a year. This program is partially
funded through the NRA Foundation Grant Program as well as
individual and corporate donation and various fundraisers
throughout the year.
Trap Shooting
We have Trap Leagues on Wednesday nights.
If you are interested in participating in a league, please
contact the Club for more information. If you would
just like to practice and sharpen your skills, the practice
field is open as well.

Scholastic Trap Program, our Trap Leagues, or the practice
fields, contact the Club at 618.466.3042.
